How to properly store raw oil?

In recent years, raw oil has become increasingly popular among consumers seeking a healthy lifestyle. It is made without the use of high temperatures and chemical treatments, which preserves the maximum amount of beneficial substances, including antioxidants, vitamins and omega acids, making it especially valuable for the body.

Raw oil is a valuable product that requires special attention during storage. To preserve its useful properties and flavor, you need to follow a few important rules. First, the raw oil should be kept in a dark and cool place to avoid sharp temperature changes and high humidity. Second, airtight packaging should be used to prevent interaction with air. It is also important to remember that raw butter has a shelf life and should not be heated.

Storage location

The first thing to do is to choose a dark, cool storage place. The raw oil should be kept out of direct sunlight, as this can lead to oxidation and loss of nutrients. The ideal temperature is 10-20°C.  Also, you should not choose a place with high humidity.  It is best to allocate a separate place in a closet or in a pantry, where there is no sharp temperature difference and direct sunlight.

Airtight packaging

The second important point is the use of airtight packaging. We produce pine nut oil in glass bottles, which are ideal for this purpose. Glass does not interact with the contents, which prevents any chemical reactions that could alter the flavor and aroma of the  raw oil. Plastic containers can release harmful substances, especially when stored for long periods of time, which negatively affects the quality of the product.

In addition, glass provides reliable protection from light. Ultraviolet rays can destroy the beneficial substances in the raw oil, reducing its effect. The use of glass bottles helps minimize such risks, preserving all the nutritional components.

Shelf life

The third aspect of proper storage of raw oil is the shelf life. It is usually recommended to use it within 6-12 months after opening. Make sure you check the aroma and taste of the oil before using it – this will help avoid unpleasant situations.

Finally, when using raw oil, it is worth bearing in mind that it is ideal for adding to ready meals, salads, and desserts, but is not recommended for frying to retain all of its beneficial properties and flavoring
